Environmental Liability & Risk Assessment

At JMS, our fundamental technical skill is the assessment and quantification of environmental risk and liability associated with real property and facility operations.

A JMS risk assessment requires a thorough and deliberate review and analysis of many factors including current and historic site operations, investigation results and regulations. Based on the review and quantification of those factors, JMS constructs a realistic model of current environmental risk associated with a facility, process, operation, organization or property. Once a valid and complete risk model is constructed, potential cost liability can be quantified and evaluated. This approach is equally effective for allocating capital improvements to reduce environmental risk at operating facilities or assessing remediation cost risk during property transactions.
