Peter Sorge Gives Presentation at Monmouth County Greentable
JM Sorge's Peter Sorge, along with, Supervising Environmental Specialist with the NJDEP Green Acres Program, Michael Buriani, presented "Can This Project Be Saved: Environmental Due Diligence on Land Conservation Projects" at The Monmouth County Greentable on Tuesday, October 25 at the Thompson Park Visitor Center located in Lincroft, NJ. The Monmouth County Greentable is a periodic meeting to bring together individuals, groups and government representatives that are working to preserve open space and farmland.
The presentation covered policy changes, NJDEP Green Acres environmental due diligence requirements, the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA), and provided information and resources on available grants for remediation projects. Peter and Michael provided practical advice on how to address site remediation concerns including farm dumps, underground storage tanks, historic pesticides, and urban fill material that can delay or derail land conservation projects.
