In December 2011, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) distributed a Job Task Analysis Survey to each of the temporary Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRP) currently practicing in the state of New Jersey. The goal of the Job Task Analysis was to solicit the opinions of each LSRP regarding what tasks form the basis for an LSRP to effectively do their jobs. The survey was only completed by current New Jersey LSRPs to ensure that the content of the licensing examination is directly related to the core tasks that are regularly required for an LSRP to evaluate and, if necessary, remediate a site in the most efficient manner while protecting human health and the environment. The Job Task Analysis included a wide variety of questions on subjects such as technical expertise, regulatory criteria, regulatory knowledge, professional ethics, and the role of the LSRP as a “regulator”. ...more
