NJDEP Plans Remedial Priority Scoring System for Contaminated Sites in NJ

The NJDEP plans to rank all contaminated sites in New Jersey. The sites will be ranked based on the Remedial Priority Scoring (RPS) System which is a modeling system designed by the NJDEP. NJDEP Posts Proposed Final Site Remediation Reform Act Rules

The NJDEP posted proposed rules to complete the phase-in of the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) The SRRA is the law that changes the way contaminated sites are investigated and remediated and it also established the Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program. The program is designed to accelerate the pace of cleaning up the New Jersey’s over 16,000 contaminated sites by using LSRPs to oversee remediation at most of these sites. ...more
